“Coming from Guwahati, Bangalore was totally foreign to me. Though I’ve had my share of hurdles, the people of Dunzo have embraced me and made me feel at home all these years. Working at Dunzo is like “Dhoom machale” for me, every day. In fact, while working on the User Experience for Delivery Partners, I have built a great rapport with Dunzo Delivery Partners and believe that they are the pillars of this business. Every time I have a Dunzo order running, I prepare tea for the partner and have a chai session with them at home to understand their day and their pain points. Today, when they know it’s my order they call me and tell me “keep chai ready, I’ll be there soon’’. The initial days of lockdown were very difficult for all of us and so at that time I immediately made a table in my diary of all the partners and their corresponding areas of residence to create a sort of task force. This was a time when a lot of firefighting was needed and I’m glad all the information I had came in handy to users who really needed our services. I’m obsessed with providing the best user experience be it for our users or our partners. Today I lead a team of 38 and my only mantra has been — “Chase your curiosity””

“Close to 2 years back, I tried my hand at several jobs but nobody really wanted to give me one as I was still a student pursuing Bcom. After my father passed away, the responsibility to take care of my mother and my younger sister fell upon me and I almost gave up and planned to return to my hometown to pursue agriculture when I got the chance to work for Dunzo. At Dunzo, I’ve had the chance to learn so much and started off by doing documentation for HR & Legal, picking up and delivering documents, and assisting the admin team. Slowly I also started taking care of the travel desk for a bit and even helped manage Kabeer’s (Dunzo Co-founder & CEO) travels which was all new to me. Today, I work with the legal team as a paralegal supporting all compliance and documentation needed while also balancing a distance education course in Bcom. I’m crazy about cricket when I’m not working and recently learned to make tea during the lockdown. My happiness mantra is to love people and be loved and I have felt it more so with the people I work with at Dunzo.”

“I feel that the last 4 years at Dunzo have really nurtured a sense of growth and maturity in me. The folks at Dunzo who initially joined the team (including me) were kids right out of college and so you can imagine the early days had that “college vibe”, where work was super hectic but it was accompanied by cricket in the lawn and hallways, music sessions, table tennis and getting yelled at by neighbors for sometimes (read: always) being noisy. That pretty much summed up the first year at Dunzo. By the second year, we had grown massively and I got to work with more smart, talented people from across the industry. I learned core operations and what having a data-driven approach means in the logistics business. I still remember the night when we first hit our 500 orders milestone for night operations and the journey to reach that number was not an easy one. Staying relentless on our promise with every single order has been the cornerstone of the work I’ve done here. My current role is perhaps the most challenging of all and I love the thrill of conquering those challenges every day. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come, but I’m even more proud of the fact that who we are and what we stand for remains unchanged”.
